Falling, a poem circa. 2009

I felt myself falling

Everyday thinking of you

Late nights imagining

Dreaming of you

Thinking how it would feel being in your arms

The sound of your heartbeat

Your voice vibrating through my body

You caressed my mind, eased my soul

Before you ever kissed my lips you held my hand

Holding me close I felt myself melting inside you

When your lips met mine…time stopped

A dimple engraved on my cheek from all the smiles you bring

When I realized I was falling I tried to catch myself

But I’m still falling

Every day I fall deeper and deeper

But it feels like I’m rising

Growing in love with you.
