Exploring Tarot with a Beginner’s Mind

I’m really excited to reconnect with Tarot through the Biddy Tarot Certification Program. I have been reading for a number of years and becoming a certified reader has been on my wishlist for quite some time.

This year is the year that I complete the Biddy Tarot Certification Program. For me, this is going to be an in-depth Tarot study that allows me to revisit my beliefs, connection, and style of Tarot reading.

I decided to use the This Might Hurt Tarot deck because it is a modern take on the traditional RWS. I also pulled out the Luna Sol Tarot deck so I might do some comparisons there. Below I walked through the cards in this deck, shared my impressions, and talked more about my decision to revisit my Tarot knowledge.

Getting the Most out of Master the Tarot Card Meanings

At the start of this course, Brigit asked me to pull a card for how I can get the most out of this program. The card I pulled was the Five of Pentacles.

This card is about feeling destitute, alone, and being out in the cold. This embodies the struggle. When I saw this in relation to my learning Tarot, I immediately saw how there were two people on the card and one seems to be doing a bit better.

With the Five of Pentacles, I know that there is help and hope right there, but sometimes we need to allow ourselves to be helped. While I am learning I want to truly study Tarot exploring all facets of these cards and the different systems they are connected to.

For me having a study buddy will be helpful. Participating in the Community and asking questions so I don’t feel like I am doing this alone will help me make the most out of it. Just because I’ve been reading doesn’t mean that I am supposed to know every single thing about the cards.

There is always something new to learn and it’s okay to ask for help and to engage in the community. I’m doing this because I want to improve and that’s totally fine.

So to get the most out of this course, I’m getting off my ass and using every resource available to me!
