I started adding Chia seeds to my smoothies once I learned all the health benefits they provide. You can add them to your cooking, salads and so much more.
Chia seeds have been used by mankind for their health benefits for centuries. Both the Mayans and Aztecs have used these seeds in their diets for generations, and today people all around the world are enjoying the various nutrition benefits of chia seeds.
Small but powerful, chia seeds are chocked full of vitamins and minerals and are easy to add to an everyday diet. They’re being used in cooking, added to beverages, used in baked goods, salads, and so much more. These seeds are an excellent source nutrients and antioxidants, and they come with a long list of health benefits.
Nutrition Value of Chia Seeds
To simply say chia seeds are good for you is a severe understatement. These little seeds come with a variety of superpowers that target different health problems people may be dealing with. They can help reduce certain discomforts, prevent problems, and even reduce the risk of certain health concerns when used correctly. The following are just some of the nutritional values of chia seeds:
Essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids
Chia seeds are a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital polyunsaturated fats. Due to the chia seed’s lipid profile, which is composed of about 60% omega-3s, or 4915 mg per ounce, they are one of the richest plant sources of essential fatty acids.
Specifically, they’re a great source of alpha linolenic acid, also known as ALA. The omega-3s in chia seeds are great for helping reduce inflammation and high cholesterol, and can greatly enhance ones’ cognitive abilities and performance. In fact, many students add these seeds to teas and water to help them stay focused and alert for their rigorous studies.
They also contain 1620 mg Omega-6 fatty acids per ounce, a wallop of goodness for heart health.
A good source of antioxidants, chia seeds help to protect the body from free radicals, cancer, and the negative effects of aging. Due to the volume of antioxidants found in chia seeds, they are incredibly durable and have a long shelf life. Chia seeds can last up to two years without refrigeration—but you’ll likely use them long before that!
Fiber is great for keeping the bowels regular, lowering cholesterol, reducing inflammation, and keeping you full after a healthy meal. Chia seeds contain a lot of fiber, coming in at about 10 grams in just 2 tablespoons of the seed. Many people find it hard to get the recommended amount of fiber into their daily diet, so chia seeds are an easy way to add this nutrient in healthy doses.
Lots of Minerals
Just two tablespoons of chia seeds include up to 18% of the DRI for calcium, 24% for magnesium, 35% for phosphorous, and up to 50% for manganese. These nutrients are highly important for helping the body fight against hypertension as well as maintain a healthy weight. They are also imperative for a part of DNA synthesis and energy metabolism, ensuring that you have enough energy to get through your day.
Chia Seed Health Benefits
In addition to the nutritional value of chia seeds, they also come with a number of health benefits. These include the following:
Regulating Blood Sugar
Blood sugar is responsible for one’s energy. When blood sugar is low, people can feel lightheaded, sluggish, and very weak. When blood sugar is high, it can lead to serious problems. Chia seeds are handy for regulating the body’s insulin levels by reducing insulin resistance as well as decreasing uncharacteristically high levels of insulin in the blood. This leaves you feeling alert and energized.
Chia seeds can be digested whole unlike other high fiber, high omega-3 seeds such as flaxseed. Due to this, chia seeds are much more versatile and can be added to different dishes a number of different ways. Flaxseeds and the like must be ground for the individual to experience their full health benefits, but chia seeds can be eaten, drunk, and digested entirely whole and still offer the same amount of nutrients and minerals.
Keeps You Full
One of the main problems of dieting is not feeling full or satiated. Many people cheat on their diets or simply struggle because the foods they’re eating do not contain enough protein or fiber to keep them full and focused and they find themselves feeling hungry and experiencing cravings. Chia seeds offer satiety, which helps you lower food cravings between meals. Due to the “gelling” effect of chia seeds when mixed with water, tea, or other liquids, they help you to feel fuller for longer.
If you are on a gluten-free diet, Chia seeds have absolutely no grains or gluten, so they can be added to your gluten-free diet without worry.

Turmeric is a commonly used spice that originates from the Curcuma plant. We most likely know it for its spiciness and use in dishes such as curry.
However, Turmeric has been extensively used within Chinese and Indian cultures, including as an anti-inflammatory. Turmeric is best consumed in its pure sense, rather than as a component of curry powder or other spices.
I have been using Turmeric for its health and beauty benefits and I am loving the results! I work with it in powdered spice form and in oil form, using the essential oil.
Here are some of the ways this spice can benefit your health:
Turmeric has long been used for its anti-inflammatory properties in Eastern cultures; this helps the body to fight infection and repair itself. It is the oil that the turmeric provides that has the scientifically proven anti-inflammatory capabilities.
Curcumin, the oil derived from turmeric, has been studied in numerous experiments and has been shown to be equally as effective as typical anti-inflammatory drugs. The key difference is there are no side effects associated with curcumin oil. This is good news for those who suffer from joint conditions, such as arthritis, where inflammation plays a key role in exacerbating chronic pain.
Indigestion and Heartburn Relief
Turmeric has also been shown to help with indigestion and heartburn. These are frequently experienced by individuals and can be incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable.
Turmeric stimulates the gallbladder and increases bile production; in Germany, turmeric is prescribed for such problems.
Studies have shown that there is a protective effect of turmeric on the heart. Initial research shows that turmeric can help to reduce the build-up of plaque in the heart, a key contributor to heart attacks. Turmeric may help to prevent oxidized cholesterol, which is what damages blood vessels. Damaged blood vessels are a critical factor in many heart diseases, such as health attacks, strokes, and atherosclerosis.
Research has shown that turmeric can actually delay the onset of diabetes. In a study, participants were tracked over a period of time and given either a placebo or curcumin tablets.
At the end of the study, not one participant who had taken the curcumin had developed diabetes. It is argued this finding is due to the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Turmeric has been shown to have important antioxidant properties, which may help to protect cells against cancer, particularly in cells in the colon. Turmeric can help to protect vulnerable cells against free radicals, which can be harmful to the body.
Moreover, turmeric can help the body to expel mutated cells that may have developed cancer already. However, research is still working out how turmeric can help with cancer prevention.
High cholesterol is a common disorder and has been linked to many different, some serious, disorders.
Initial research shows that the oil in turmeric, curcumin oil, can help to lower cholesterol levels. It works on the liver and encourages it to produce more receptors that produce lower cholesterol.
Uses In Cooking
- Turmeric in dried spice form can add loads of flavor to curries, stews, stir-fries and roasted meat and chicken.
- Fresh turmeric is a root that looks much like fresh ginger. It can be juiced along with other fruits and vegetables. It can be added to smoothies.
- It makes a great addition to a chicken marinade adding a bright orange color to the mix; it is a key ingredient in Middle Eastern chicken kabobs.
- Use it to substitute saffron or mustard as it provides an equal yellow hue
- Jazz up white rice, by squeezing fresh turmeric through a garlic press and adding it to the rice, offers lots of flavor, and a golden color.
- Use fresh chopped or grated turmeric in coleslaw to add color, flavor, and key nutrients.
I love drinking Ginger and Turmeric Tea! It tastes soo good. I also add it to my face masks and the custom serum I created for my skin.
Everyone should seek medical advice before adding extra turmeric to their diet as it may actually have negative effects on some people. Always consult with your doctor when deciding if any health/wellness protocol is right for you.
Hi, peace and blessings. I am Jovhannah The Spiritual Love Healer, founder, and creator of the Spiritual Love Sanctuary. And I’m starting a series where I show up here at live on Saturdays to just talk to you about different things that that I’m dealing with, and that I’m seeing, answering questions and all things focused on healing, single moms.
So today’s topic is about how single moms bear the burden. And I wanted to share some things that I’m tired of. Things that I see either in my own life or on social media, just the wide variety of things and kind of reflect on how it goes back into single moms, having to bear all the burden, the blame, the guilt, the responsibility. And so I want to first pull a card from one of my favorite Oracle decks. I am a spiritual healer, a teacher and intuitive Tarot reader.
And one of the many tools that I use are divination tools like Tarot and Oracle cards to provide guidance coaching, and to really help my mamas get aligned with their, with their abundance, with the love, their soul purpose, all of those beautiful juicy things, and even really diving into parenting strategies and things like that. So I want to pull a call card for us today and please let me know where you are watching from, and if you’re watching on the replay feel free to leave your comments. Let’s see what comes up joy. Oh, this is perfect for today’s conversation. This has got Goddess Aphrodite and the manifestation stage that this is in is gestation. And we know during that period of time, that is when everything is taking place. That is when growth is happening. That’s when things are coming into development in order to come into fruition and the message here is “I have the courage to be unapologetically happy”.
This feels very much like that creative energy dancing, that sacral chakra energy that is where our seat of emotions, the seat of our intuition. And so exactly what I’m talking about today, points back to you being allowed, the freedom of expression, the freedom to have joy in your life. Not only as a mother, but outside of that role as a woman, and a lot of times as moms, especially as a single mother, your whole life and identity gets wrapped up into your children and you become a mom and you kind of forget about yourself in the, and it’s important that we remember, we are still women.
We are still humans and we still have goals and dreams and important things to do in this world ourselves also. So I want to share some of the things that I have heard you know, as a single mother and one of the things too. So I have two girls, my oldest she is going to college this fall, which is mind blowing. Cause I just remember her as my little baby girl, but she’s all grown up now. She’s 17 and starting college at Howard soon. And then my five year old is still probably a sleeping. She’ll probably come in here shortly. She’s five. So I have two girls that are 13 years apart and, you know, having that age gap, it’s like I had to get hit with everything twice in a sense. And I know, especially when I was younger and I had my first child, there was a lot of, Oh, well, you don’t need to go out.
You don’t need to, you know, you don’t have a life anymore. You’re a mom now. And that was so detrimental, like, so very detrimental to, you know, feel like you’re not able to live or everything has to be about your child. And you know, it can make you feel selfish for having desires or interests outside of that. Right. so that was one thing that, you know, that I had to deal with. And also being told like, Oh, you have a child, so you don’t need to date. Like, you know, it’s not okay to date. You know, meanwhile, her dad had moved on, gotten married and all of these things, but I was like, well, I can’t date. I have a child. So to date is wrong. And then there’s all this shame around being a single mother to begin with.
So it’s like what? Yeah, crazy. Right. And so another thing that I hear especially now with Savvi, I have my own business, spiritual of sanctuary. So, you know, I am the business, it’s me. I am doing all of the things. I love my work. I also do some work as a social media manager, so I have a lot going on and it makes me happy too, to do the work that I love doing. And so something that I hear is that I work a lot and there’s a few different reasons why I work it’s because I want to see my business successful. I have goals, you know, for my business, there are people that I truly want to help and to serve and support through my business. So it’s important that yes, I do have work to do.
And it also is, you know, me having to work to make sure that I can sustain the type of lifestyle and provide things for Savvi that I want her to have. Like I plan on homeschooling her. I recently did find a private kind of charter school that was opened within the last few years by an, a black woman who homeschooled her child. And then she opened up an Academy for children of color. So I’m like, I want her to go there wishing for that school it’s pretty high. So I have a goal, like I need to, to increase my revenue so that I can, you know, provide this level of education for my child, that I want her to have. If I had help and support, I probably wouldn’t, you know, have to put so much pressure on myself to do those things, but this is the situation that I’m in.
So I am doing the best that I can working within the parameters that I have for that. Savvi’s with me almost every day and, you know, she gets to come into my office sometimes while I’m working, she’s either playing or, you know, doing her own schoolwork or keeping herself occupied. I’ll go work on the porch, we’ll go outside and play. We go for walks and let her ride her bike. So we get to do so many things now that if I were working in back in corporate America, that I would not be able to do. And for me I find that to be very ironic because my last job that I had, some days I would work I remember one day I worked 20 hours, 20 hours. I took naps in my car and, you know, nobody had an issue with that.
It’s like, because it was a job, a stable job. And so that, it’s something that I’m sick of hearing is that you work too much or you don’t spend enough time with your child and we’re together, like all of the time doing things. And with that, I think it’s very important to and I know some of these things come out of goodwill, but it’s very detrimental, especially when a child is hearing them, because then they start to repeat them and they start to feel like something is wrong or something is missing. And that is not the type of energy I want to put out into her life. And, and I feel like it is very advantageous and it is a blessing for me to be able to work from home, you know, building up a business that not only supports myself, but allows me to give back and to serve my community.
But it affords me the opportunity to be present with my child, which is something that I didn’t get to do with my first child. Another thing is you know, people, I see a lot of, you know, judgment around how children are schooled. And I talked about this on personal page a couple of weeks back, like one of my biggest fears is sending my daughter to a private of public school. And the reason being is, and I thought about it. So I, you know, it was like back and forth on, I was like, no, it’ll be good for her. She’ll get, you know, the social interaction with other children. And, you know, there’s, there’s some pluses to, you know, going out to school versus homeschooling. And then it’s like, every time I’m like, okay, I’m going to send her to public school. And, you know, I’ll just be very active and, you know, stay in contact with the teacher and try to volunteer and help out with like every time I made came to that conclusion, I would see an article.
And the last time that was like the final straw for me was when there was a six year old little girl who was arrested for having a temper tantrum in kindergarten. And that to me was like, no, because I saw so much of my child in her Savhannah is very outspoken and very determined to, to get her point across. And she has very powerful emotions. So she is prone to have a temper tantrum. And when I saw this little girl in handcuffs, crying, scared that she was going to jail at six years old for having a tantrum, which is very common for young children, he’ll adults even have them because many adults don’t know how to control their own emotions. And I just felt that was, that was too much for me. And so I made the decision, like I am going to homeschool. So this month, and next I’m getting all of the materials together deciding on, you know, our curriculum for the coming year. And then because a lot of people are now homeschooling not only, you know, due to issues with miseducation that’s happening, that’s a whole nother conversation, but also with the the pandemic, more people are homeschooling now. So the regulations have changed around that. So I’ll need to register, I think, or my homeschool, like five days before we actually intend on starting so that, I guess they’re not backlog, but I feel like with all of the things, and these are just a few things that I’ve seen and dealt with, and that bothered me the most.
But when it comes down to these decisions about homeschooling, about work, about all of these things, it goes back to where a single mother has to shoulder the burden or blame by herself and any mom in general, like when things goes wrong, everyone blames the mom. Anyway, everyone looks to the mom, like they didn’t love their child enough, but they weren’t around enough. They didn’t hug them enough.
And so with single mothers, I feel like that stake is just driven in even more, maybe even more stakes because you’re blamed for being a single mom and not every single mother is at guilt when sometimes a woman becomes a single mother because she chooses to adopt. Sometimes it’s an aunt that has taken in her nieces and nephews because a family member passed or their parent isn’t able to take care of them for whatever reason. Sometimes it’s because, you know, the dad just walked away or didn’t want to be involved other times. It’s because maybe the dad died. There are women who were married and their spouse passed away. And now they are a single parent. And, you know, so many people walk around in judgment, not knowing the situation or the circumstances and all of that really at the end of the day is completely irrelevant.
And so one of the things that I am challenged to do is to remove the single out of single mother, because at the end of the day, you’re a mother period. And I don’t think that, you know, women who are raising children on their own should be given any type of flack over what they’re doing, because we’re showing up, you know, we’re showing up sometimes double-time because we have to do all of the things we have to take care of our children. And so it’s interesting because, you know, I had started a platform on Instagram healing, single mothers, and it didn’t feel right because I didn’t want to have to keep saying healing, single mothers, healing, single mothers, because at the end of the day, I know that that word single, it does denote lack. And it makes, you know, it seemed like there’s something missing when it comes to your motherhood and there’s not.
And so that is what the Spiritual Love Sanctuary is truly here for. I started coaching, Hmm. I’ve been on this journey for quite some time. I started coaching and then I started integrating energy healing and intuitive modalities into my work. And first my work was focused on women. And then I was kind of focusing more on women who had dealt with abuse or, you know, toxic, unhealthy relationships. And then I was like, Nope, it’s moms. And then I realized like the clientele that was coming to me either I’ve worked with both men and women, they were from broken homes or single parent homes, or they were single parents. And with everything that is happening this year I decided that I really want it to focus on helping to heal the black community, because even in my own journey as a single mother the things that, you know, I’ve experienced and see in my relationship with my daughter’s father, it’s that healing is needed. Right. And what I do know is that many women are doing the work. You know, they’re going to therapy, they’re, you know, working with spiritual healers or coaches and, you know, they’re getting themselves together, but a lot there needs to be a lot more spaces for men. And I truly believe that when a man is unable to show up for his child, there’s some, something deeply, deeply wrong. And generally like there’s some sort of healing, some sort of trauma, something that needs to be addressed within that person.
And I really want to look at parenting differently in a way that is really centered on the child, because I’ve seen so many parents unable to co-parent because there’s so much anger and animosity between the two parents and that’s not healthy for any child. So there’s a lot here within the Spiritual Love Sanctuary that I want to cover. And I felt like starting with single black mothers single moms would be the best way to make the biggest impact on, on our community, on the world. Because when we go into the home of a single mother and we’re able to help her transform herself, she then is able to transform her children. And then when she does bring a partner into her household, it will be someone who is aligned, someone who is willing to do the work, someone who’s willing to go through healing and all of that. And I think that’s what we need.
That is what we need now more than ever. And so I’m very excited and I look forward to helping you find your joy and showing up here to continue the conversations about things that are impacting us as a women, as mothers, within our community and ways that we can truly heal and live abundantly ever after, like we were taught, like, you know, you go to school, you get married and life is going to be great. That doesn’t happen for all of us. And I realized that there’s more to it. And so I came up with abundantly ever after, because I want you to experience abundance in all areas of your life. I want you to experience an abundance of love and abundance of money and abundance of success, abundance in everything that you do. So I thank you so much for joining me. Greetings peace and blessings. I am a Jovhannah I’m the founder of the Spiritual Love Sanctuary here with today’s Spiritual Love Forecast for the week of July 19th. So as I was shuffling this car came out, which is compassion. It’s the mother earth card I give love. I receive love. I am love. So I feel like this is just an overall reminder to be compassionate to be compassionate with yourself and others as well. And to remember, to stay in the flow of love of giving and receiving. I was on a call today with one of my teachers. And we were talking about serving like, this is the time to serve.
However that looks for you, it’s it’s necessary to be of support, be of service to others at this time. Because we all are going through tumultuous events as a collective, and then individually, we all have different things that we’re going through as well. So compassion is definitely needed at this time. So remember to give love, to receive love and to be humble.
So I’m going to pull another card to see what the energy is going to be, and then I will read them together. So if you are not, I would love for you to follow me over on Instagram and I just dropped a card.
Hang on. Alright, so today’s cards are letting go. And then we have one of my favorite, the fourth chakra, which is our heart center. And we just talked about compassion and the need to be loved the need to give love the need to receive love. So this definitely resonates here. This is going to be a time to really nurture your HeartSpace whatever emotional woundings upsets, heartaches, things like that, that are coming up your heart. This is the time that you want to go in and release those, those things. You want to practice forgiveness, a lot of self love, self care, self compassion really tending to your heart space. This might even be nurturing important relationships, definitely self-love and again, it’s, it’s all about compassion bringing that loving energy into your life. And so the card that came up is letting go.
I let go of what of, what is for what will be I release guilt, blame and shame. So a lot of times when we have these in our heart you know, when someone does this wrong way, we make a mistake and we just hold onto that energy. And it’s like, it’s so hard for us to forgive. It’s so hard for us to forget for us to heal and to let go. But this is exactly what this is calling for. This is calling for the ultimate healing of your heart space. And one of the things that I enjoy doing our heart healing sessions, which is an energy healing session that calls in energy from the arch angels to really focus on healing and restoring the energy around your heart. So this very much feels like a deep healing is taking place.
And when we are so focused on where we are right now, and I know it’s very important to stay mindful of the present, but that doesn’t mean we have to hold on to whatever hurts or limiting beliefs that we are dealing with at the time, because you want to allow yourself to grow. And in order to do that, that means letting go of the things that are weighing you down right now. And so when your heart is heavy, you’re not able to offer it to anyone. You’re not able to accept anything in. So it’s kind of like you’re blocking out love. You’re shutting down those beautiful connections that you could be making with yourself and others because you’re holding on to too many things. So really this is calling for you to let go. And what is it that you need to let go of? I know for me this past week has been very interesting because I’ve gone through my own kind of transformation, really getting clear on where I’m going.
Paying attention to the thoughts that I was having surrounding my vision and dreams and plans and all of that, and realized there were some old stories that were playing in that were keeping me from moving forward and really being consistent and owning what it is that I needed for myself. And so once I became aware of that, then I was able to be like, okay, this doesn’t work. That’s not right. So I’m going to let that go and focus on creating what it is I do want in my life. And so really what this is too, is like, no matter where you are, no matter what you’ve been through, what you are going through, you can still heal. You can still move forward and create something beautiful for yourself. But that happens when you allow yourself to let go, and you give yourself the freedom to heal.
A lot of times especially if someone has hurt us, we hold on to the pain that they’ve caused. We want to forgive them. We don’t want to let it go because we think if we do that, that we’re going to get hurt again, or that we’ll make the same mistakes instead of allowing ourselves the grace to say, you know what? Yes, that hurt. I didn’t like it. It did not feel good. I didn’t even deserve that, but you know what it happened, and this is what I learned from it. Now I can release this with love so that it’s no longer holding me back so that I’m no longer living in the past when I could be being present and focus on creating the life that I want to be living. And so when we allow ourselves permission to be free of those past heartaches, those past burdens, those past mistakes, that is when you’re able to heal and to blossom and to grow. Because now you have turned the knowledge into wisdom because you’re applying the lessons that your life has taught you. And when you get to that point, that is where you let go. And that is when you’re able to grow and move forward from the things that may have been holding you back previously. So this week, I really want you to explore what it is that you’re holding in your heart, if there’s anything that needs to be healed or forgiveness, or you know, that you want to let go of really dig into that, get support if needed don’t, you know, traverse into very tender areas on your own, if you don’t have, you know, the right support, I do offer services that can help you. And I know, I think I’ve been saying this like all year, like this is the reset year. It’s time to let go of things that are weighing you down and things that are preventing you from living abundantly ever after, from having wealth, from having love, from being successful, from being happy for being comfortable with who you are from being able to really accept yourself, all of this stuff has to be let go of, and for the most part, the things that we’re holding onto are the things that we’ve created here.
The hurt that we’ve processed and now we’re storing them because, okay, this thing hurt me. So I’ve got to hold onto it. So I don’t get hurt again. And that’s not, that’s not the purpose and that’s not the most supportive way to deal with those things. So we have to learn a different way of processing our emotions of learning from the things that we consider mistakes in our lives, and being wise enough to know that it’s safe to let go safe, to move on, and it’s safe to continue to be competitive, to be kind, to be loving and to allow yourself to receive that same energy from people. I think a lot of times when we look at society and see the news, it’s like, everything is bad people. Well, the trash everyone’s horrible throw the whole world away, and that’s not necessarily the case.
We have to also tap into the good that exists and not get so caught up in the negativities that have taken place in our lives. Because as we continue in YouTube, tell ourselves those same stories where we’re living trauma, and we’re really living out of past hurt. And you may be operating out of, past emotional states, past mental states that don’t represent who you truly are or who you truly want to become. So this is the time to really explore that and to make the changes in your life so that you can welcome in all the abundance that life has to offer. And today I am coming to you with a Spiritual Love Forecast, looking at the energy of this week of July 12th, 2020. So take this how it resonates and let’s see what is in store for us all.
I used one of my new Oracle decks, the Connected and Free Alchemist’s Oracle, which is a very beautiful deck.
The cards that I pulled were Be You and Masculine. What I first noticed about this deck is the beautiful colors which really feel resonant with like Throat Chakra energy. This flying fish that jumps out of the water and soars a little bit. And it’s very unique, right?
So I feel like there’s a need for you to really express your authentic self. And it’s almost as if this fish is jumping out of this man’s chest. A lot of times we can get into patterns of how we live our lives, how we show up in the world that are based off of what we were taught or told how we’re supposed to be, but not who we actually are.
And I feel like this is a nice time to really uncover the areas of life, where you are forcing yourself rather than allowing yourself to show up and just be who you are like. When I think of like, when I had to force myself to be a certain way, I think about my last job that I had when I was working in corporate America.
I could not be my authentic self in that space. But luckily I’ve been able to create a life that really allows me to be authentic and to be who I am and not have to try and force things that aren’t really aligned for me. And so when this masculine energy shows up, that is the part of us that is goal oriented taking action, more logical thinking and things like that. And I love that the sun energy is here as well.
It’s like allowing spirit to charge you and to let you know what actions you need to take.
And then you go out into the world being yourself and doing those things. So I feel like for this week, it’s gonna be a focus on really opening yourself up and examining, like, what am I doing in my life? Is this even who I want to be and making sure that you are reigning in some of that masculine energy, I feel like too with this showing up here, feeling more feminine, more intuitive especially if you are like a single mom or even just a single woman who is in that space of like doing all the things and maybe not just allowing yourself to step back and dive into your divine, feminine energy to be okay with being soft and vulnerable and allowing yourself to express that.
And I mean, that can be even in the smallest of ways, like maybe you start doing like a nightly face mask routine or you change, try a new perfume or something simple where you’re just remembering to really allow your feminine energy to show and not to get so caught up in feeling like you have to do things or be things in this certain way.
That’s really not in alignment with who you are. I’m reading, excuse me, I’m reading this book by Lisa Nichols called ‘No Matter What’. In this book, she has a lot of amazing exercises. And the thing that stuck out to me the most, and I’ve talked about this in the healing single mothers group as well was the story that she retold about a dog lying on a nail, and the dog would just kind of be moaning every day, sitting there on the nail. And the passer-by was like, why is this dog always moaning? So he stopped and asked, and the lady on the porch was like, Oh, he’s laying on a nail. And it was like, well, why does the dog keep sitting there? And the answer was, it hurts just enough for him to moan, but not enough for him to do something about. And so this energy, especially for this month of July, I feel like it’s very much about realigning yourself to the things that you said that you weren’t going to do to your dreams, to your goals.
Because the first half of this year has been unsettling and upsetting, like so many things have been happening and changing, and it’s, it’s, it’s necessary for you to reconnect with what matters to you, because you might have gotten off on a path where the things that you’re doing don’t even really make sense. You’re kind of just going with the flow and you’re not really allowing yourself to be who you are to do the things that you want or need to do. And so when I think about that I think it’s important to go back and look at the, your own bed of nails. I was gonna say, nail beds, but bed of nails to see where are you settling? What are the things that you’re doing in your own life? That don’t make sense, that don’t feel good. That feel forced, that feel out of alignment that have just become bad habits that are preventing you from stepping into the life or the love or the abundance that you really desire in your life.
And once we get clear on those irritations, we can start to pull them out of ourselves. We can start to identify the weaknesses or the points that we to strengthen in ourselves and say, okay, I don’t like this. This is an irritation. What can I do about it? And then you start to take action on that. So I found that to be a very, a very powerful exercise and one that when I I’m cause it’s, I do something similar with my clients, and there’s so much resistance, usually to people getting honest about what’s not working and about the things that they’re doing, because you have to shine that mirror back on yourself. And sometimes we don’t like what we see. We don’t like to see that, like I said, I was going to work out every day and I haven’t gotten off the couch. We don’t like to see that.
But we have to see it. We have to be aware. We have to have this knowledge and understanding in order to shift our habits in order to shift our patterns so that we can truly step out and be who we are truly called to be. Weekly Spiritual Love Forecast – July 5
Greetings beloved peace and blessings to you.
This is Jovhannah The Spiritual Love Healer, founder, and creator of the Spiritual Love Sanctuary. And I have a weekly spiritual love forecast for you. So I decided that I was going to do this every Sunday to kind of give you an overview of what to look forward to what to maybe expect this week. And so I pulled a crystal card and the energy card and what came up was the Angel of Love reversed. And then we have Fire Agate.
So I want to talk about what these mean and how these may play out for you this week. So let’s get into it with the angel of love reversed. I see a couple of things. One is that you are holding back from love, potentially. Kind of keeping it away, not being open to it. And the other way that I’m seeing this is that you are so busy helping other people, fixing their problems, being so nurturing and kind and caring that you were not taking care of yourself.
So this is an energy that we need to balance out. We need to ensure that we’re allowing love to flow in and flow out and that we are receiving it from other people as well. So this is a good indication that you may need to love on yourself a little bit more focused on some self-love and healing practices.
I know in the monthly reading that I did, for July, it did come up that healing and self love would be very important. Be mindful of how you are treating yourself, how you’re talking to yourself of the relationship dynamics that you’re involved in. Are they giving to you? Are you receiving the same energy that you are putting out from people? Because if not, then it’s going to be important that you kind of step away, pull your energy back into yourself and truly love on you get in and around people who are going to love you back.

It is an awesome growing group, wonderful place to be where you can talk, be supported, receive love and all of those beautiful things. So let’s make sure that we are being kind, being loving and also being mindful of people who are just kind of taking and not returning that same energy.
And for some people, like I said, this is you being closed off to love for whatever reason. So explore that. What is it that you are holding back? Why are you holding back? And if you would like love and this comes up too sometimes for people who are like, they you know, they’re single, but they feel like they’ll always be single or they can’t meet a good person. You have to change that narrative. You can’t continue to have that same energy and think that you’re going to be able to pull love into your life, but that’s a whole nother conversation.
So we want to make sure that we are reflecting love, receiving love and being loved this week. And the crystal that came up was fire agate, which is a very, very beautiful situation. And this is about not only is it fire agate is a very powerful stone that also resonates with our creative center, with our sacral chakra. And it’s a very passionate thing. And it says here, the healing mantra is “May I feel all I need to feel in order to heal me”.
May I feel all I need to feel in order to heal. So if you are cutting yourself off from your emotions, you’re not allowing yourself to heal.
And one of the things that I have seen in the dating world, especially being on online dating sites, trying to talk to people and just looking at their energy, there are a lot of people (men included) who are hurting, who should not be trying to date at this moment because they’re not even aware that they’re still hurt. And they’ve taken on that pain as an identity. And that’s what we do not want to do.
So when we’re seeing this coupled with the energy of Fire Agate it’s very pertinent that you focus on healing, whatever issues or wounds that you have around your heart space and around relationships. This is also a protective energy that it’s going to shield you from additional wounding and additional conflict, but you still have to take care of what’s inside. So rather than taking on additional hurts, it’s important to heal, whatever you’ve got going on so that you can be open back open to receiving love.
And this also for me, it comes through as very passionate, when I think of like Fire Agate, it’s a very passionate energy, but it’s also protective. And of course, we want to guard our hearts and minds, but not so much so that we’re blocking ourselves off to like all of the goodness that is available out there to us. So I hope that this reading has inspired you in some way. And just take this energy, be mindful of it, love on yourself this week. I’m Jovhannah founder of the Spiritual Love Sanctuary. I am a Spiritual Healer and Teacher here to help you live abundantly ever after over the past couple of weeks, so much has shifted and changed. And in fact, I did a couple of different videos on it, but I wound up not posting any of the videos because it, I don’t know, it just did not feel right to post them for some reason.
So hopefully this one goes up cause I’ve got some news to share.
I had kind of been talking about transitioning to healing, single mothers, and really focusing on that. And that aspect is kind of not changing, but I also know that the work that I’m doing has to come through a Spiritual Love, which is a principle that I was taught through my own healing journey and in dealing with healing, love and relationships.
And so, which is kind of why the Spiritual Love Sanctuary exists. So yeah, a lot has changed there. I want to get back to doing readings and because I do at this time, I want to continue focusing on supporting single mothers.
There are a couple of specific readings that I’m going to transition to doing.
One of them is an Intuitive Goddess Guidance reading the other, and that one is where we’re gonna look at healing, self love, and which Goddess is guiding us for that month or that week, depending on how often I do the video.
Then I want to do a Heart Healing Reading which is going to be about exploring matters of the heart, looking at things from a spiritual perspective, and what you can do to really shift the energy and your love life and how to tune into the frequency of love.
Then we are gonna do a Sacred Mother Guidance reading, which is really amazing and something that I’m very proud of. This is all about connecting with the energy of the Divine Mother, so that we can all be more amazing moms.
I’m very excited about that and just exploring motherhood from that energetic, spiritual perspective and how to connect with your children and all of those amazing things.
Then I’m going to do a Spiritual Life Support Reading, where it’s just kind of like a general reading focused on just personal growth, improving your life, finding inner peace and just really aligning with your highest good, tapping into your potential, and getting positive forward movement going in your life. So those are the readings that I’m going to be doing on my channel. And these are also offerings that are available.
If you want a private reading to really dive deeply into your specific situation because general readings are amazing. But when you get a personal reading that really digs into your energy, your life, your highest good, and your specific situation, it’s a lot, it’s a lot more powerful than just listening to different general readings and things like that. So my thoughts were on healing single mothers, because I really wanted to do the healing single mothers show. I was very very much looking forward to that. But with things needing to be birthed through the Spiritual Love Sanctuary, I kind of sat with it and aligned with it and just thought about healing single mothers, the brand that I was building and the different social media and the show and the site, and the message that I got was it was time to let it all go and to focus specifically on the Spiritual Love Sanctuary.
So with that in mind I’m still really sitting with it, but I know it has to go and everything is going to be focused on Spiritual Love Sanctuary, which means I’m going to have new social media because I’m going to go away from normally I was using The Spiritual Love Healer as my social media, which is kind of like my personal social media.
So I’m going to maintain that, but I think it’s really time for the Spiritual Love Sanctuary to be rooted because what is also coming is that I really need to focus on supporting Black women, Black mothers, especially Black, single mothers and really helping to bring forward healing because as mothers and the work that I seek to do, we can’t do this work without talking about ancestral trauma and how to navigate in today’s society, knowing how things are set up to work against us.
And I think it’s very important to, and I think it’s also beautiful because there’s been an awakening, a call for Black spiritual leaders to, to show up and to serve.
I know so many other coaches and healers and practitioners are also like shifting their work. So it’s definitely an alignment. And that’s what I want the Spiritual Love Sanctuary to be.
Ultimately, I want it to be a place of spiritual healing, spiritual teaching, spiritual guidance to help restore the black family and the black community.
Eventually, I would love to work with men. I have had a few male clients in the past and that’s been amazing. And also I want to do work with children. I’ve been dealing with a lot of anger issues from Savvi because of how things are between her father and I, and these are important things that we need to talk about and really diving into there.
There’s just so much to, to explore and explain. And so it’s kind of like a rebirth essentially of the work that I have been called to do. And I actually don’t even think of it as a rebirth. I feel like this is everything that I’ve experienced and done and shifted. And all of that was so that I could get all of the, all of the energy, all of the knowledge, all of the skill that I needed to carry this thing forward. And one of my big dreams is to have a spiritual wellness center probably one here. And then I also cause my dream, even when I was little, I was like, I’m going to go live in Costa Rica. I’m going to retire and move to Costa Rica. So I definitely would love to have one and Costa Rica as well. So I have work to do I have a lot of work to do.
I’m very excited about this and extremely passionate about this. And I think that’s why I was like, let me not just put something out there that this needs to feel right. And it needs to be aligned and on point. So I feel like that has been done. So basically here not a lot will change other than the types of readings that I’ll be doing. More conversations I’m trying to gain clarity on the podcast cause I really, really want to do that. So I might kind of need to sit with that for a little bit and figure out how I’m going to move forward, because it’s going to be a big part of the work that I do. It’s going to be videos, conversations, podcasts, and things like that. So I also have a lot of work ahead of me shifting things, putting things back in order, creating new things.
Right now I am updating the Energy of Love course. It was formerly Four Energies of Love and I’m just adding in some additional content specifically for single mothers and how to navigate the different levels as it relates to co-parenting with children and all of that.
So anybody can probably benefit from it. But I wanted to add in that because right now I do want to focus on supporting single mothers and then branch out into a wider net of supporting others.
